The Enzo's Race Car & The Supercar of the Year

Due to the Enzo's succes, Ferrari to make a race car out of it in a program called Ferrari FXX. The car is named just this. Little adjustments were needed like new tires by Bridgestone and new brakes by Brembo. But one thing that stayed the same was the highly-tuned V12 6.3. liter 800 horsepower 800 bhp and 9500 lb-ft of torque engine. This program will go on until 2008/2009 with the Ferrari FXX Evoluzione. The car will continue to be improved under the Evoluzione kit which will adjust specifics to create more power, change gearing and remove drag. This supercar/racecar will have a 0-62 acceleration of 2.8. and a top speed of 227 mph. I think I'm forgetting something. Oh yeah, base price starts at $1, 816, 000 US.

Italian fusion, performance and design. German engineering prowess. That's what made 2009's supercar of the year; the Lamborghini Gallardo LP560-4. It has a V10 5.2. liter 552 bhp and 398 lb-ft of torque engine, a 0-60 acceleration of 3.7. seconds and a top speed of 325 km/h. In addition to that, this acr has 552 horsepower which is 30 more than the original Gallardo. This Lambo has 3 things in common that I like. First of all, it has E.gear transmission features, only used in motorcycles, second of all, it has other sequential gearbox like E.gear used in Formula 1 cars, and finally, it has direct fuel injection, originally called Inezione Diretta Stratificata in Italian. Only few supercars use this system (Bosch, Lamborghini). When you see the headlights, the luxurious interior, the vents on the front and the exhaust pipes on the bottom rear-end sides, you know this car is special. So how much should the perfect fusion of passion and technology cost? Base price starts at $201,000 US.
