The fastest car in the world

When you think about speed, the first car you might have in mind is the famous Bugatti Veyron. At approximately 269 mph, you are right about it not being slow. On the other hand, there's a car in the Veyron's territory. The american car company, Hennessey, have built the new fastest production car in the world: the Hennessey Venom GT. Although it beat the Bugatti by a mere 1 mph, stats are stats! Approximately 270 mph on a straight line! Its full estimated top speed is 278 mph, 0-60 mph (100 km/h) in only 2.7 seconds and all this thanks to a 1244 hp V8 powerhouse engine. Although the Venom beat the previous record-holder by 1 mph, the Veyron is still the champion in the Guinness book of World Records because there must be at least 30 cars in the market, and the top speed must be an average of the speeds achieved during 2 tries. Unfortunately, the Hennessey only had one run and only 29 of them are produced. Anyway, here is the video of the actual 270 mph run of the Venom!
