LA Show: Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG

Another interesting car revealed at this year's LA Show was the second generation Mercedes CLS 63 AMG. The car will feature the previous 6.2 liter engine, to the new 5.5 liter biturbo V8, developing 544 horsepower and 800Nm. The AMG option will boost the power to 571hp and 900Nm of torque. New large AMG wheels and LED lamps, a smaller diameter steering wheel, new paddle shifters and carbon fiber trim. Price is unknown, but stay tuned on Toofastcv.

LA Show: Porsche Cayman R

As Toofastcv continues their coverage of the LA Auto Show the next in the line was Porsche new Cayman R. It is 121lbs lighter and has 10 more horsepower than the previous Cayman S. The car's storm under the hood is a tuned-up 3.4 liter V6 developing 330hp. It is coupled to a 6-speed manual gearbox, that catapults the car to 100 km/h in 5 seconds. With the 7-speed PDK option, it reaches 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while the Sport Chrono Package improves the time to 4.7 seconds. Top speed is hit at 282 km/h (175mph), but with PDK, you get 28o km/h (174mph) as your maximum. As you might have guessed, the main focus of this car was to reduce weight. This was done by adding light-weight components, helping the scale go down to 2855lbs. Styling includes a fixed rear spoiler, new high quality silver wheels and more. The car will be distributed in February of 2011, at a price of about $95,000.

Lamborghini Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante

The Los Angeles Auto Show has brought many surprises. Among many big names like the Porsche Cayman R, Chevy Camaro 2012 and 2012 BMW 6 Series, Lamborghini has released the Gallardo LP 570-4 Spyder Performante; which is the drop top version of the Superleggera. The car has merely better performance and weight attributes, so let's see if it lives up to it's name.

First if all, the car features a 5.2 V10 engine that can produce a 570 horsepower storm under the hood. 100km/h is reached in 3.9 seconds and a top speed of 324km/h (201mph).

As I said, the car is lighter, thanks to CFRP technology, and the use of several carbon fiber components inside and outside. The Sant' Agata Bolognese engineers reduced the cars weight by an impressive 65 kilograms (143lbs). So, the scale says 1485kg (3274lbs). Finally, the car is 4.39 meters long, 1.90 m wide and 1.18 m high.

As you can see, the car was redesigned outside. Lamborghini Centro Stile included a newly designed front bumper, a fully covered underbody, new sill elements and a redesigned diffuser four large tailpipes. A rear spoiler is also available.
