Rumours: BMW M3 GTS-R

As you might have already heard, the BMW M3 GTS won last weekend`s LeMans 24-Hour Series race. Well, the previously revealed BMW M3 GTS, because of the win, is rumoured to have a new version; being called the GTS-R M3. The car would be a new limited edition Bimmer, that would be welcomed as a new member into the E92 M3 family.

The car will still resemble the M3, while the car will have new options. These include Y-shape design in five spokes for the wheels; and are much lighter than the competition wheels featured on the original GTS model. The car will also feature a front lip spoiler, and like the original version; a carbon fiber roof, a rear spoiler made of carbon fiber and lightweight glass. Weight reduction is a main goal, while the car has a a new bonnet and rear deck lid; that are lightweight.

Engine wise, the car will have a power upgraded V8 which will be coupled to a DCT transmission gearbox. The incoming M5’s KERS regenerative braking and boost function could also be used. While the car will finish up the M3 line-up, the design concept for this M3 is finished in Stealth Frozen matte black with wheels that are the same colour.

The car has 50th Anniversary logo patch that dates from 1960 to 2010. The car is limited to one car and will be used as a fundraiser for NCM. It will serve as $300,000 in taxes, for NCM and will be sold for $85,000. The car features an Arctic White paint-job and has black stripes going down the middle of the tribute. The side mirrors are painted Cyber Gray, while the rims are matte black, making the car look very ferocious. Anyway, this is a great way to pay a tribute to 1960's Briggs Cunningham Corvette!

Panoz Abruzzi to Race in 24 Hours of Le Mans

Panoz has only produced one car in it's career of car making. They produced the Esperante and launched it in 2000.

But now they have released a sketch of their new sports car called the Abruzzi, which looks pretty much like the Esperante, just more modern. The car company has planned that the Abruzzi races in the upcoming 24 Hours of LeMans race in June. This car may turn into a GT2 racer, or it's company into a GT2 racing producer, but this is very rare. Rumours, rumours rumours...

We are also wondering if the Abruzzi will replace the Esperante, or will just be the new kid in the lineup, with it's big brother only...

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG GT3 Race Car

Mercedes-Benz has officially revealed the race version of the SLS AMG: the GT3. The company has revealed high-resolution photos as well as complete specs.

The car will make it`s debut in Oaxaca, Mexico this week. The car will compete in categories like LE-MANS and it`s 24-hour races, and FIA races. It will compete against Corvette, Jaguar, BMW and more...

Because of the same 563 horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 engine as the SLS AMG, you think that it is exactly like the normal street version. You are completely wrong! What makes the difference is the aerodynamics and the specific parts and additions made of carbon fiber. This includes canards up front and a huge wing out back, that improves aerodynamics AND weight.
