Nissan planning GT-R Hybrid for 2013

The image “http://www.gtspirit.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Nissan-GT-R-Hybrid.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

After we posted that Ferrari would reveal a hybrid version of the 599 in Geneva next year, this piece of info slipped through our radar: Nissan is planning for a GT-R Hybrid in 2013. This is in fact true. The car is supposed to rival some Porsche models. Anyway, a Hybrid version of the GT-R would be awesome!

Chrome Supercars: Nissan GT-R

We have lately found photos of a Nissan GT-R in a chrome wraping. Interesting. The GT-R also had a fancy exhaust system on the rear. Before the owner wrapped his GT-R in chrome, his Nissan was matte white. The images were found on a Nissan GT-R chat forum.

This weekend at the Tokyo Motor Show, Nissan announced that there will be a new GT-R in 2010. It will go on sale in Tokyo December 7th and will be sold all around the world sometime next spring. It contains a new HDD-based Carwings navigation system with enhanced entertainment functions, a USB port with iPod connectivity and rear diffusers cooling ducts, which were previously available only on the GT-R SpecV model and now on all models. Switzer GT-R P800 reaches 300 km/h!

The GT-R P800 is known for it's looks and it's speed, well this achievement would fit in to the 'speed' category. It reached 300 km/h (188 mph) on a Russian highway. 0-100 km/h comes in only 2.9. seconds, 200 km/h in 8.4. seconds and after 19.8. seconds, the car is already at 300 km/h! That's not all, after the sprinting to 300 km/h, the car raced against a Suzuki GSX1300R Hayabusa motorcycle. We have both videos right here on toofastcv! We hope you like them!

Renault Alpine to Nissan G37 platform

Sources have confirmed that we will see several new models bearing the Renault Alpine marque. All year long Renault has been hinting that they would be giving brand new cars the marque and not rebadging them.
Specific details have not yet been released – but we have been told that they might be basing the new car off of the platform that is used on the Nissan G37, G35, and the brand new 370Z. The new model could be more geared towards track duty, with a serious diet and some tweaks to the drivetrain.

350Z replacement

So now, Nissan is making a replacement for the 350Z: the 370Z. The thing is that it is going to go up against a high class sportscar: the Porsche Cayman S. The interior is rated probably 6/10. One thing that is impressive is the ON/OFF button for the engine. I think that every modern sportscar should have that option. Under the hood there is a 3.7. liter V6 engine producing 337 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. The SyncroRev Match 6-speed manual transmission gearbox helps the Z reach 100 km/h (60 mph) in just 5.2. seconds. Base price starts at $38,470. And plus, Nissan has took the cover off two new 370Z models: the Nismo model which is a 8 horsepower improvement to the original 370Z and there is the Roadster model, which is simply hot.
