British Automaker Aston Martin has revealed the facelift for the 2011 DB9. The new version of the road-going DB9 gets quite a lot of modifications; only for the best. The DB9 is available as either Coupe or Volante with rear mid-mounted six-speed manual gearbox as standard or optional ‘Touchtronic 2’ six-speed automatic transmission. Production of this English vehicle has already started, while the car is expected to be delivered by July of 2010. Prices start from £122,445 for the Coupe and £131,445 for the Volante. In all Aston has revised styling, engineering and equipment enhancements, so let's start.
First of all, exterior modifications will crowd this post, so let's start off; new front bumper, radiator grille and a re-shaped lower intake featuring a hexagonal mesh, new headlight bezels, re-styled sills, silver brake calipers, 20-spoke diamond turned alloy wheels and clear rear light lenses. All these exterior modifications are part of the styling category. As for interior design, a revised Bluetooth microphone system and Bang & Olufsen hi-fi options are available.
Now, for the engineering. Under the hood is a 6.0 liter V12 engine that produces 470bhp and 442lb-ft of torque. As we said earlier, coupled to the engine is a choice of a six-speed ‘Touchtronic’ paddle-shift automatic or a six-speed H-pattern manual transmissions. Top Speed is as high as 305km/h (190 mph) and 0-100km/h (0-62mph) is completed in 4.6 seconds.
